Why This Site Exists
Frederick County records cross local and state custody lines. The Clerk of the Circuit Court handles deeds, marriage licenses, and court files, while SDAT publishes property data and the State Board of Elections controls voter tools. Vital certificates split between the Frederick County Health Department and Maryland's Division of Vital Records. The Maryland Room and State Archives preserve older sources.
